If you know *anything about legendary shooting guards from the NBA, you definitely know who George "Iceman" Gervin is formerly of the San Antonio Spurs. Gervin played in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Virginia Squires, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls. Gervin averaged 26.2 points per game with the NBA, and is widely regarded to be one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history.
In saying that, I have a well preserved and maintained pair of (game worn and signed) white Nike Blazers, from George "Iceman" Gervin. He is not only the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer, who led the NBA in scoring 5 years consecutively, but also a 9 time NBA All-Star, has had his #44 jersey retired by the Spurs and was named to the NBA's 50 Greatest Players.
I had the unbelievable good fortune of becoming a Celtics ballboy in the xxxx-79 seasons, and George and I struck up a superb friendship. "Ice" wore these on the *original Boston Garden floor, all while dropping 47 points in a win against the Celtics.
