Clemenceau a Busk(Clemenceau in Busk) is image ten from the bookAu Pied du Sinai, by George Clemenceau. 355 impressions in this ink and paper combination (out of a total of 810 impressions in different combinations of inks/papers). Reference Adhemar, 245; Adriani, 223; Wittrock 198. George Clemenceau's book, Au Pied du Sinai (At the Foot of Sinai), was published in xxxx by Henri Floury and Printed by Chamerot et Renouard. It told stories of the life of Jews in Poland. Lautrec executed ten illustrations for the book and a cover piece. (Two additional illustrations and an alternate cover were also designed, but not used.) Conservation framed in antiqued gold moulding with dark brown liner. Finished with brown linen matting, contrasting matte and gold fillet. All materials are archival quality. Set behind a UV resistant acrylic cover. Framed size is 21-1/4 H inches x 20 inches W (54 cm x 50.8 cm). COA.
